 2. Where are the 12 Punto TRT SCRIPT Days taking place?

12 Punto TRT SCRIPT Days is a multi-stage platform that takes place between January and June, spread over half of the year. The stage where workshops and presentations are made and prizes are determined is held in June in Istanbul.

 3. Who can apply to 12 Punto TRT Script Days?

For long-term projects, applications will be accepted through a production company this year, just like last year. Individual applications for short film projects will also be evaluated.

 4. How can I apply to 12 Punto TRT Script Days?

It is applied by filling out the form in the application section at www.trt12punto.com. Applications are accepted online only.

 5. Why only production companies can apply?

Only legal entities can fulfill the obligations required for feature films, so applications are accepted through production companies.

 6. Do short filmmakers have to find a production company to apply for?

No, individual applications are also accepted for short films.

 7. How can independent filmmakers apply?

You can apply through the production company.

 8. When do applications end?

The application form and system will be accessible until 23:59 on Thursday evening, 12 March 2020.

 9. Can an arrangement be made on the project after the application is made?

As long as the application system is open, the application form and documents can be changed until 23:59 on Thursday evening, 12 March 2020. No arrangements can be made on the application form and documents after the application system is closed.

 10. How does the process work for feature projects?

After the application process is complete, a preliminary independent and professional jury will select 12 finalists evaluating projects from Turkey. The teams of the selected projects will attend scenario development and presentation workshops and present to the international jury of important filmmakers. The Jury will award TRT Co-Production Award to 4 projects and TRT Prebuy Award to 4 projects. Please click for detailed information.

 11. How does the process work for short projects?

After the application process is complete, a preliminary jury will evaluate the independent and professional projects in Turkey, it will give TRT 2 Short Film Production Award to 12 projects. 12 awarded projects will be announced on 12 May 2020. The owners of the selected projects will attend scenario development workshops.

 12. Who evaluates applications?

Technically the screening, the project will evaluate the application documents are not lacking in a preliminary jury composed of independent and professional filmmakers from Turkey. Among the 12 finalist projects selected by the pre-jury, the winners of the award (as a result of the trainings and presentations) will be determined by the international jury consisting of the important names of the world cinema. The preliminary assessment jury members will be announced on the date of announcement of the 12 projects that have made it to the finals.

 13. What are the winners determined according to?

TRT Co-Production Award is that TRT is a partner in the project with a certain financial contribution and a certain share.

 18. Will the applications with Turkish Partner International Project (Minority co-productions) be accepted?

Yes, international projects in which Turkish producers partner with small shares can also apply to the 12-Point Script Days.

 19. For applications with the Turkish Joint International Project (Minority co-production), is it mandatory to shoot the portion or all of the projects in Turkey or is it necessary to be invoiced in Turkey?

 23. Can TRT 2 SHORT FILM PRODUCTION AWARD be applied with a horror movie?

Yes, it can be applied. There is no type limitation in applications.

 24. Can an application be made in English for TRT 2 SHORT FILM PRODUCTION AWARD?

Yes, you can apply. There is no language limitation in applications. Scenarios written for shooting in languages other than Turkish may apply. However, the script and the application file should be in Turkish, and in which language the film should be shot.

 25. When can applications be made for the TRT 2 SHORT FILM PRODUCTION AWARD?
